Launching Ceremony of the Awareness Session on 3D Printing Technology for Secondary Students.

This 20 March 2024 at 13h00, the Mauritius Digital Promotion Agency (MDPA) operating under the aegis of the Ministry of Information Technology, Communication and Innovation and in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Tertiary Education, Science and Technology is organising the Launching Ceremony of the Awareness Sessions on 3D Printing Technology for Secondary Students at Manilall Doctor State Secondary School.

The objective of carrying out the awareness sessions is:
1. To initiate students on the concept of 3D designing.
2. Conduct demos on 3D Printing technology in view to show a better means of producing viable parts for final year project.
3. Promote the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects and the MDPA 3D Printing services.

The target audience for this launching ceremony are mostly Design and Technology students from grades 10 to 13 from secondary schools.

This Launching Ceremony will encourage our students to consider innovative ways of using technology in general to achieve different goals more efficiently: first in fabricating viable objects for their upcoming O and A level design and technology projects. Secondly how it can be used in their daily life. Moreover, in using for printing teaching aids for subjects to enhance their learning experience.
